Fal-e Hafiz

the Persian tradition, whenever one faces a difficulty or a fork in the road, Or even if one has a general question in mind, one would hold that question in mind, and then ask the Oracle of Shiraz
Hafiz for guidance.
More often than not,Hafiz, in his own enigmatic way would sing to the questioner and through the song, would get the questioner to look in the mirror of his/her soul.
Upon reflection in the mirror of Hafiz's Ghazal one would be inspired with an answer, a guidance or a direction.

Traditionally, the first line upon which the eyes of the reader fall, would give the answer to the direct question, and the rest of the Ghazal would give further clarification.

To try the guidance of the oracle of Shiraz Hold a question in your mind & Click on the button .

I didn't recognize you

A 45 year old woman had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. While on the operating table she had a near death experience. Seeing God she asked "Is my time up?" God said, "No, you have another 43 years, 2 months and 8 days to live.
"Upon recovery, the woman decided to stay in the hospital and have a Face-lift, liposuction, breast implants and a tummy tuck. She even had someone come in and change her hair colour and brighten her teeth!
Since she had so much more time to live, she figured she might as well make the most of it. After her last operation, she was released from the hospital.
While crossing the street on her way home, she was killed by an ambulance. Arriving in front of God, she demanded, "I thought you said I had another 43 years? Why didn't you pull me from out of the path of the ambulance?"
God replied: "I didn't recognize you .

A different Iran in Hot Spots Festival

TEHRAN, Jan.27 -Two Iranian artists, Reza Abedini and Mohsen Namjoo were invited to take part in the 36th edition of the international Hot Spots festival, Rotterdam.
Concentrating on the discovery of talented film makers and gifted visual artists, Hot Spots scans the world in search for places where remarkable creative energy can be found.
The festival concentrates on Bucharest, Romania (Jan.26-29) and Tehran, Iran (Jan.30-Feb.2) as hot spots for this year.
Aiming at representing Iran, with an impression different from that given in the media, the festival has declared that Iran's youth culture though undeniably modern, is non-Western.
The Iranian graphic designer and Prince Claus award winner, Reza Abedini is to deliver a speech in the event, introducing his experiences by displaying 10 film posters.
Also the innovative artist, Mohsen Namjoo who has composed music inspired by traditional Iranian influences and rap music combined with the ultra modern "Blues", will be present in the event.
Another part of the festival is dedicated to the representation of special Iranian films like: "It's Winter" by Rafi Pitz, "Pilgrimage and Internet" by Reza Haeri, "Mr. Artist" by Kaveh Bahrami Moghaddam and "Tehran Has No Pomegranates" by Masoud Bakhshi.
The hosts of the festival believe Tehran to be the capital of one of the youngest countries in the world, with more than 70 percent of the population scoring under 30 years of age. Iran has an enormous energy and urge to express identity.
